Mr. Mohammed Moshin Khan was appointed as the Independent Internal Auditor of UNA Fiji in July 2019. In this capacity, his key responsibilities include reviewing the organisation’s accounts to ensure the validity, accuracy, and legality of financial records. He also acts in an advisory role, recommending risk mitigation strategies and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. Mr. Khan provides this service on a pro bono basis. His association with UNA Fiji dates back to 2015, when he was elected Treasurer and served in that role until June 2019.
Mr. Khan brings over nine years of commercial experience across a broad range of accounting and financial management functions. His expertise includes managing full accounting operations, audit assurance, business advisory services, taxation, management of Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) divisions, debtors and creditors management, timely financial reporting, key client account management, compliance oversight, stakeholder relationship management, and business analysis.
He is currently employed as the Finance Manager at Walesi Pte Limited (2018 to Present). Prior to this, he served as the Head of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Division Senior Accountant Audit Assurance & Business Advisory at Aliz Pacific Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors. He has also worked as an Audit Officer at Vision Group Fiji Ltd. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Accountant & Relocation Coordinator at JVK International Movers. He began his professional journey as an Attaché at the Department of Financial Accounting at Fiji National University (FNU), gaining valuable first-hand sector experience.
Mr. Khan is a Member of the Fiji Institute of Accountants. He obtained all his academic qualifications from Fiji National University (FNU), including a Master of Accounting (2020), a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (2018), a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Management (2013), and an Advanced Diploma in Accounting (2012).
Originally from Talaiya in Ba, Mr. Khan currently resides in Nasinu. Outside of his professional commitments, he is a passionate car and motorsport enthusiast and enjoys spending quality time with his family.
